About the study
NRAS is actively working in the field of digital technology and looking at how remote monitoring using an app called the NRAS Health Wallet (developed by COHESION Medical), on smartphones can help people proactively monitor and manage their disease between appointments with their team. You are probably well aware how challenged rheumatology services are post pandemic and that you may be seeing your team less often than before the pandemic, so having the ability to keep track of your symptoms and how you are between appointments is very important.
We have already carried out work in partnership with Cohesion looking at how to build trust and confidence between patients and their rheumatology team in remote monitoring, using the Citizen Wallet, with very good results and we now want to use key learnings from that work to take the testing phase to the next stage.
We believe that it is important for people to have access to high quality, supported self-management resources to support health and wellbeing between appointments with your team. We want to test over a period of 12 months, the long-term impact of being able to monitor and track physical and emotional health and have direct contact with NRAS’ supported self-management resources through the Wallet. Therefore, we are looking for eligible people to get involved and work with us to test this and help us to answer these and other questions.
